Nitrox · enriched air with 22-40% oxygen vs the 21% in regular air · gives you longer bottom times at every recreational depth. The PADI Enriched Air Diver specialty is the easiest and highest-value PADI specialty card to get on a Hurghada trip. One day of theory plus two dives on EAN32, and you can dive Nitrox anywhere for life. Useful early in your trip so you can use it on the deeper-reef and wreck days later in the week · 8-12 minutes more bottom time per dive on those longer-transit days.

What you'll do
One day. PADI eLearning at home (3-4 hours, sent the moment you book) plus a 1-hour classroom session at the dive base on the morning. Two boat dives on EAN32 with the analyser on the boat showing you how to verify your tank. Card issued the same day, valid for life.
Prerequisites
- PADI Open Water Diver, or equivalent from any agency
- Minimum age 12 (Junior Nitrox), 15 for full Nitrox
- Basic medical fitness (PADI self-declaration)
- No specific dive count requirement · we've certified divers fresh out of Open Water
01 · Day 1 morning
Theory + analyser practice
1-hour classroom · oxygen partial pressure, max operating depth (MOD), how to use the dive computer in Nitrox mode, how to analyse your tank. We hand you the analyser and you analyse your own tank as the practical exam · this is what you'll do every dive day for the rest of your life.
02 · Day 1 afternoon
2 boat dives on EAN32
Standard 2-tank Hurghada day, all on EAN32 (Nitrox 32% oxygen). Same dive sites as the regular daily diving programme · you'll feel the difference in your bottom time on dive 2 in particular. Card issued at the end of the day.
