The PADI Advanced Open Water Course extends your range from 18 to 30 metres and unlocks five PADI 'adventure dives' covering specialty skills. Two are mandatory (Deep and Underwater Navigation), the other three you pick from a menu that includes Wreck, Drift, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Photography, Nitrox and more. With our Hurghada dive sites in mind, the wreck-and-deep route at Abu Nuhas is the most popular.

What you'll do
Two days of diving in Hurghada. Five dives total: two mandatory plus three you pick from our specialty menu on day 1. Each dive starts with a focused skill brief, then a guided dive applying it. Card issued the same day you finish.
Prerequisites
- PADI Open Water Diver, or equivalent from SSI / SDI / CMAS
- Minimum age 12 (Junior AOW), 15 for full AOW
- Basic medical fitness (same PADI self-declaration as Open Water)
- Logged dives helpful but not required
01 · Day 1
Deep Dive plus your first elective
Dive 1 (mandatory): Deep, to 30 m, narcosis check and a light-and-colour exercise that surprises everyone. Dive 2 (your choice): typically Wreck (we run it on Carnatic or Giannis D at Abu Nuhas) or Peak Performance Buoyancy on a healthy reef.
02 · Day 2
Navigation plus two more electives
Dive 3 (mandatory): Underwater Navigation, compass plus natural navigation. Dives 4 and 5: your remaining electives. Common picks are Drift plus Night for couples, or Nitrox plus Photography for the tech-curious. Card issued at the end of the day.
