A private speedboat charter for four hours, morning or afternoon. The €180 is for the boat, not per person · bring two of you or eight, the price is the same. Snorkelling is what the charter covers, and if some of your group would rather dive we can put them in tanks for €25 each, which is not something the shared boats will do for you.

What you will do
You take the boat and the crew for a four-hour slot, either 09:00 to 13:00 or 13:00 to 17:00. Free hotel pickup, then you board from the marina jetty with no queue and no headcount. A speedboat reaches the first reef in about 25 minutes where the big shared boat takes 90, so a four-hour charter buys more water time than a shared day does. Where you go is yours to pick: Orange Island, Magawish or Hola Hola for the reef, or the dolphin watch that runs out to White Island. The three islands each collect €10 a person at their own jetty, which is the island's money and not ours, and the dolphin watch collects nothing because there is nowhere to land. The captain reads the wind and picks for you if you would rather not decide. Mask, snorkel, fins and vests are on board, along with water and soft drinks. Anyone who wants to dive rather than snorkel adds €25 a head and goes in with a guide while the rest of you stay on the surface.

Snorkel, and dive if you booked it
Guided snorkelling for as long as the slot allows. Divers in the group go in with a guide on the €25 add-on and come back up to the same boat.

Four hours from pickup to drop-off. Morning charters are back for the afternoon; afternoon charters finish at 17:00.
Four places the boat can take you
Pick where you want to go when you book. The boat costs the same either way · the three islands each collect their own entry at the jetty, from adults and children alike, and the dolphin watch collects nothing because there is nowhere to land.
Orange Island
€10 per person entry
The postcard stop. A white sand bar with a lagoon shallow enough to stand in, and a coral wall on the outer edge where the butterflyfish and parrotfish sit. It is the busiest of the four, which is the argument for taking the morning slot and getting there before the shared boats do.
Magawish Island
€10 per person entry
The closest of the four and the quickest to reach when the wind is up. Seagrass on the inside where the turtles graze, coral heads on the outside. Quieter than Orange Island, and the short run leaves more of your four hours for the water.
Hola Hola Island
€10 per person entry
A horseshoe reef out on the Giftun edge. Deeper and healthier coral than the inshore stops, with jacks and snappers over it and the occasional eagle ray. Better visibility and fewer boats, but it is more open water, so it suits confident swimmers.
Dolphin watch + White Island
No entry fee
The captain knows the places the pods use and works them one at a time until he finds them, and you stay with them for as long as they stay up. Afterwards the sand bar at White Island, which comes and goes with the tide. Nothing to pay at either, because there is no private island to step onto. The dolphins are wild animals · most days he finds them, some days he does not, and nobody who promises you otherwise is being straight with you.
